Given my age and the fact that the Beatles are no longer available for concerts, I recently bought tickets to see John Tesh (instead of Nora Jones--actually I kind of like her). It turned out to be worth the price of admission. He used to be a regular on Entertainment Tonight but gave it up and now goes on concert tours where he plays the piano, keyboard etc. in between dances and songs by other members of the cast. The emcee for the concert was quite a comic and

during the show he threw T-shirts out into the audience that had been signed by the performers. Well, lo-and-behold, at one point I looked up and there was a shirt sailing in my direction. I stuck my hand up in front of the face of my seat neighbor and the shirt landed right in my hand. I saved that guy from serious injury to his face (the shirts were tied in knots so they would go further) I'm sure. Anyway, that shirt was meant to be mine. I was impressed with John Tess. He talked about prayer at one point and about a project that his family had done for Christmas. They had bought 1000 roses and taken them around to nursing homes, passed them out, and visited with the clients. He said that that kind of service had become the ministry of his family. He challenged the audience to start their own ministries. He actually handed out 5 envelopes, each with $100 in it to people who wanted to start their own ministry. So, anyway, I enjoyed the whole program. And hey, I didn't win a T-shirt at "The Three Redneck Tenors" concert.

Lucky duck!
I never win anything. Not even a single t-shirt.
Sounds like such a great concert. I really enjoy John Tesh.
Great t-shirt! :-)
I loved the blog. I can just imagine the look of the face of the guy sitting next to you. I'm glad you got to go. Thanks again for a great time.
Love,
Linda
I actually think that he does a whole religious album. And, he and his wife waited until after they were married to fool around so he's okay in my book.
